This was a great friendly place with great food .

Rustic cafe feel.... but disappointing food. It was when I took a bite that I remembered I had visited before. Memorably disappointing

This place is underwhelming to say the least. Food was tasteless and meal descriptions on the website were not the same as what we received. Pesto pasta wasted like water and the chicken was cut up very tiny and way over cooked. Guacamole burger was tasteless as well and was supposed to have jalapeños but did not. Guac was obviously out of a bottle and tasted like pure avocado. Lasagna and shrimp were okay. Our total was $90, way over priced for what we got. At least the wait staff was nice and attentive and the only reason this got 2 stars.

Cozy, casual American fare with good value and friendly service. We stopped for breakfast and got exactly the classic meal we wanted. For some reason food tastes better in a booth.Next to us a family reunion meal was going on with a loads of young children. Servers remained cheerful and efficient. If locals bring their families here, tourists can trust it too.

The dish I had was so good, I loved the place.

Great service. Delicious food.

Such great food. I had to bring 1/2 of mine home with me

Fair selection on the salad bar. Service was good. Seating was quick. Good baked potato but the country fried steak was so-so. Definitely not fresh made and a little this on actual meat.

We had a wonderful meal at The Timberline Cafe. It was a very cold day in Yellowstone and we wanted something hot and delicious. I ordered the hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes/gravy and my husband had the lasagna. You won't go wrong with either of these sekections. Service was fast and friendly.
Curt Barker
Fast service, fair prices, and the best bacon cheesburger I have ever had!
Judi Keyes
Good food and service but a bit pricey
Patricia Garcia
Great for breakfast! Really good pie but no beer
Melvin Mora

The food was good old American. No surprises. But the service and salad bar we're really great. Especially the service. Way to go guy. Good job.

I ordered the 10oz Bison Rib Eye, it was like warm to cold and the service was very very poor. The only thing I really needed was an ice tea and only got 1 glass the whole dinner and I was a party 1 so it wasn’t like i overwhelmed the restaurant. I will not be going here again!

Needs a little updating, but that didn't stop the food from being amazing or the staff being wonderful. Definitely stop in in of your in the area.

Perfectly cooked salmon with wonderful sauce. Also excellent Bison, Elk, and game meat sausage sliders. Both wife and I were very pleased!!!

Though the service was a little bit slow, the taste of the food totally made up for it.

The guy at the hotel recommended a couple restaurants to us. This was one of them. After being ignored for a few minutes, we walked out. All done ! Go here for pie when they are busy and sit and drink water all day. ☹

We loved the place. Prices weren't too bad for a tourist town. Fries are awesome!!

This was so nice to walk right in and sit down and order. Quaint little cafe and a decent food. It was decently priced for West Yellowstone. Keep in mind, Yellowstone is a tourist location so it can be spendy. So, here's why it had 4 stars....I had a Denver Omlette...as listed on the menu it was Ham, Egg, and Green Peppers. I got my plate....took my first bite....no cheese? Is this normal? I have never had an Omlette without cheese!! Cheese is a must on an Omlette! Seems petty, but that is the bottom line! Otherwise, great place!

Nice salad bar. Mice waiter. Good food. The one wine was bad with floating stuff in it, but they gave me another type and it was perfect.

Pulled off the main drag and began walking back towards all the people when we passed this restaurant. Prices posted on the window seemed quite reasonable, so we went in. We were greeted immediately and sat right down. 3 of us had the lunch special of a chili dog. The chili tasted home made, the fries were really good, and the hot dog used tasted like an all beef hot dog and definitely not like the run of the mill food service dog. Very good.

Good diner food. Nothing spectacular. But the option of bison and the bison/elk/sausage sliders is something special. We got the French Dip, 3 meat sliders, and the bison steak. When in West Yellowstone, you've got to try the bison, etc!Total price was $66.

Staff was friendly, food was ok not bad but not great.
Carol Stewart
Delicious cheeseburger and fries. Hot and fresh. Homemade Chocolate Pie was great. Helpful staff.
Som Montree
It was ok there. I like the fries but the burgers were nothing special.

I had the trio sliders for lunch and it was awesome. We only had the lunch but it was fantastic.

Service was great & they were really nice! food was a bit disappointing for the price— I got the country fried steak which was a bit burnt, and the carrots and broccoli it came with were too soft & soggy. There are definitely other places in town that have better chicken/country fried steak. This is my cousin’s favorite restaurant though, and based on other reviews maybe it was just an off day.

This restaurant is awesome inside. The wall joists are real trees with the limbs still attached. It must have been hard to install them. The food was amazing. Definitely try the banana nut bread French toast it is Amazing. The omelette I had was very good too. The huckleberry syrup is must. The help was very polite and I would definitely go back when I visit Yellowstone.

Traditional American bland fare. The soup looked good. I had to ask if chicken could be added to a salad and the waitress looked at me as if I was from Mars!!! It's OK. If you are looking for great salads, or interesting spices, keep looking. If you are looking for mid-Western American you have found it.

Such a nice cozy place. I felt warm and welcome. The food took me back to when me mamma would cook. Such a nice meal.
Ann Richmond
Cozy atmosphere, the BEST sweet potato fries, and terrific service from Bre!

We went here 3 times during our week visit to Yellowstone. We had great service and each one of us loved the food all 3 times. If we are ever back in the area we will definitely eat here!
Christy Thornley
Service was good. Prices were too high. For the price, we thought the food would be a lot better than it was. Disappointed
Tina Gerber
Food was great, good service. Expensive! $10 for a burger and ff. $1 extra for cheese.
Michael Stone
We really enjoyed our meal at Timberline!!! The service and the food was delicious and great!!!!
Robert Metcalfe
Good food for a fair price with good friendly service.
Rob Davidson
Stopped in and had a Bison burger with fries. The place was clean the people were nice and the food was great. Next time I go to Yellowstone I will stop in again.
Joyce Griffith
It was good and reasonable
Jay Simpson
Good was good. The onion rings were delicious and the bison burger was adequate. It took a bit to get out good but overall not bad.
Kenneth Smith
Watch out for the steak. Overpriced for the quality - mine was not at all tender, but otherwise tasted ok. Great salad bar though, and service was very good.
Michael Mansfield
The food was good, but pricy. They were very busy and were slow getting the food out. It took about 45 minutes to serve the food after it was ordered. This was particularly difficult for the kids with us.
Matthew Richmond
Great food, excellent service! We'll definitely be back!
TR Bowlin
Just soso. Biscuits and gravy were pretty plain. Brown gravy that was grainy and I never saw any sausage
